Thermoforming
Thermoforming is the process in which a thermoplastic sheet is heated to its particular processing temperature, then formed against the contours of a mold by mechanical or pneumatic means. The thermoplastic is held to the shape of the mold and allowed to cool. The plastic will then retain the shape and the detail of the mold. Thermoforming is very cost effective for short runs (less than 1000 a year).

McNeal has been providing its customers custom vacuum and pressure formed plastic components for over twenty years. McNeal performs close tolerance CNC trimming on all molded parts to ensure a precise and consistent fit. McNeal has built a reputation of providing simple to complex thermoformed components.

McNeal's thermoforming capabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Heavy gauge (material thickness from 0.062 to .375)
  • Thermoforming and Pressure Forming to 36" x 36" x 24"
  • Routing and Trimming
  • Customer specified coatings
